The Innovation Home- A Bold, Bright, Beautiful Kitchen

Despite the Ideal Home Show at London being all wrapped up now, we can't stop thinking about the beautiful kitchen we created with Sophie Robinson for the Innovation Home for the exhibition! We were originally contacted in January about being involved in this project. Sophie and Edwina Boase, the head stylist involved in this project, knew they wanted to work with a bespoke kitchen company, who were British-based and leading the way in contemporary designs, and this search led them to us! Sophie and Edwina visited our showroom, decided upon the Ladbroke handle style, and a few different colour options to decide between that complemented the accessories that had already been purchased for the kitchen. The Invisible Green Ladbroke Kitchen also provided inspiration for adding a brass splashback to their design, which went perfectly with the bright kitchen cabinets, bouncing light around the room. We chose to create the kitchen in our 80/20 kitchens range, using an oak effect cabinet interior and oak backing for the Ladbroke handles. This ensured the kitchen felt light and fresh, and gave a hint of the beautiful timbers we use here. The open shelving within the large kitchen wall cabinet unit was also created in the beautiful oak, which was the perfect backdrop for displaying lots of accessories within the kitchen. The whole dynamic of this room is that it is full of personality and life. Sophie designed the show home to demonstrate how to bring your own personality alive in your home, and ensure that your house is perfect for you and your lifestyle. By using a natural material like our beautiful timber allows the kitchen to have an incredible inviting feel despite it being so bold and bright, as the grain shows through on the cabinet fronts giving a rich texture to the room. By combining the room with a dining area highlights the open-plan living trend, along with the hob being placed onto the side of the kitchen facing out, to allow for involvement with the rest of the room. By combining incredible marine blue cabinetry with unusual colours such as pink flooring, this kitchen was loud, fun and perfect for a busy family. Easy access to integrated appliances, individual gas hobs that are placed directly on the worktop, and a concealed boiler, demonstrates how our kitchens perfectly balance form and function, as despite their beauty they are still incredibly user friendly. This particular kitchen will actually be at the Ideal Home Show in Scotland from 31st May to 3rd June, where you can see it in the Innovation Show Home. After this, if you fancy taking a trip to Norfolk to see our workshop where we manufacture our kitchens, this kitchen will be in our showroom along with our other beautiful designs. In the meantime, check out our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for more beautiful images! Interior Design by Sophie Robinson, Photography by Tim Young.
