Ideal Home Show

It's been a very exciting time here at Naked Kitchens, and you can finally see the finished result of one incredible project we've been working on! We've already shown you a sneak peek of the kitchens that we created for the show, but finally everything has come together and we can show you the finished result! The IHS has been such a whirlwind of a project, creating two bespoke kitchens and a media unit in only a number of weeks! But, it's also been one of our most exciting, as we've been able to show the public our kitchens without them having to visit our showroom in Norfolk! As a relatively small, independent brand, awareness is everything, so being able to exhibit in London is a great experience for us, as well as being able to work with some of the coolest designers in the industry- Sophie Robinson and the 2LG's! The room above shows that we don't just create beautiful products for kitchens only, but that our creativity skills can extend to so many other rooms within your home. We love seeing our beautiful products in bold, bright colours adding so much personality to a room. Being asked to create different, unique items other than just kitchens allows us to push the design boundaries that we normally work within, and create beautiful new items for our product portfolio, that hopefully other customers can enjoy in their own home. Working with Sophie Robinson on this kitchen design was an absolute dream. We spent only one afternoon here in Norfolk, discussing designs, styles and colours, and a design was almost finalised by the end of the visit!   The kitchen was made in our 80/20 Kitchens range, an oak effect cabinet interior and a Ladbroke handle with an oak backing. We knew that Sophie wanted a kitchen that packed a punch colour wise, and with the help of stylist Edwina Boase, they chose the insanely beautiful Marine Blue by Little Greene for the cabinet fronts, which balances beautifully with the timber accents. The kitchen that we created for the 2LG Garden Pod is sleek and modern, and has many bespoke features that make it so incredibly beautiful as well as functional. We created this kitchen with Russell and Jordan, allowing us to demonstrate how our kitchens are not constrained to the traditional setting and can be used in so many different ways. They actually had a few words about working with us for the Ideal Home Show:
"We have worked with Naked Kitchens previously for one of our Residential Interior design projects in Kew and we were thrilled to work with them on this project. Naked Kitchens are great quality, made in Britain and their bespoke options offered us the opportunity to design a unique kitchen for our Lovely Pod - conceived by us as a sustainable 'Love/work' space. The oversized circular handle detail we came up with was only possible because Naked were so flexible and accommodating in their approach. The metal legs in a bespoke gold finish also elevate the whole kitchen, giving the pod an airy feeling of space as you can see the cork flooring continue under the kitchen. It also makes the kitchen freestanding so that it doesn't look like a standard fitted kitchen, which was perfect for this creative space. It is not a conventional space in any way and the kitchen, with the curved island we designed, pushes the boundaries of that and responds beautifully to the curved structure of the pod. It goes to show that kitchens are not just for kitchen spaces, they can work in office scenarios too."
The Ideal Home Show is on until the 2nd April, and whilst these photos do show the beauty of the kitchens, we recommend you visit the show yourself and see the kitchen in person!
