Choosing a new kitchen isn’t an ordinary, everyday decision – in fact, you may well do it just once in your lifetime, so it’s worth taking some time to do it properly. That’s why we’re always delighted to welcome you to our headquarters in North Norfolk.
Yes, we have a showroom full of stunning styles to inspire you… But a trip to Naked Kitchens’ HQ is very far from a typical showroom visit. You won’t just see an end product, you’ll experience everything that goes into making it – and get a real feel for what it means when we say your kitchen is built for your life.
There’s no better way to understand our approach to kitchens than to come and see our place. And it’s a pretty remarkable place: a former RAF aerodrome set in beautiful countryside.
Here – in the approximate order in which they’ll hit you – are five things you’ll experience when visit us…
1. The sheer beauty of the North Norfolk countryside
Yes we’re biased, but you really won’t find a finer place than North Norfolk to spend a weekend.
Whether it’s the vast unspoilt sands of Holkham Beach or seal-spotting at Blakeney Point, beautiful Morston village or the wild, ever-changing skies over the salt marshes, we live in a very special place – and we’re constantly inspired by the coast and the countryside that surrounds us.
So it’s no coincidence that the Naked Kitchens paint colour palette is rooted in nature. From Seal Pup white to Blakeney Channel Blue to Swallowtail yellow (named after a local butterfly) – it all comes from the flora and fauna on our doorstep. Come and see it for yourself, and prepare to fall in love...
2. An absolutely enormous RAF aerodrome
We’re reasonably confident in claiming to be the only kitchen showroom based in a former Second World War RAF hangar with the old runway still outside. So when you get here, you won’t miss us.
Our unique home means we have lots of space for our workshop – but it’s about more than that... Just as our designs are inspired by the Norfolk countryside, so our love of innovation and clever technical problem-solving is inspired by the heritage of our building.
This hangar has housed some of the most amazing machines ever built – and in that spirit of invention we’ve filled it with the most hi-tech equipment in the kitchens industry.
It allows us to cut waste to a minimum (see more about our sustainability here), and to create bespoke, precision-engineered cabinetry with a quality and accuracy of finish that our competitors can only dream of… And all with efficiency cost-savings that we can pass on to you.
3. A very friendly bunch of people
Our whopping great air hangar full of tech means we have no fear of doing things at scale – but we’re still very much a small, friendly, family-run business, and every bespoke kitchen we make gets our full personal attention.
When you book a visit you’ll get a warm welcome, a cuppa and a one-to-one tour of the showroom and whatever bits of the workshop most interest you.
And if you spot one of the Everett family on site, be sure to say hello. Jamie, Jayne and Alex are slightly obsessive enthusiasts for kitchen design and manufacturing, and always happy to chat about ideas for yours.
4. A chance to get hands on
Don’t let all the high tech machinery fool you: a great deal of what we do here is about old-fashioned joinery – that is, making beautiful stuff out of wood by hand.
If that sort of thing floats your boat, we’re very happy to take you behind the scenes to meet some of our craftsmen and show you how we make our drawer boxes, for example.
There’s nothing quite like getting hands on with a bit of timber and feeling that built-for-life quality…
5. A whole lot of kitchen inspiration
Finally, you’ll get to see a lot of pretty sensational showroom kitchens. Every kitchen style, material and colour is here, so whatever you’re into you’ll find an example – or a sample – to inspire you.
However, just as with our place in Bloomsbury, London, our Norfolk showroom isn’t about displaying ‘our range’... Instead, it’s all about helping you to discover what you love, and showing you that anything is possible.
Our kitchen experts will talk to you about you, and how you live and cook. They’ll help you to navigate through the options to find the style and design that’s just right for you and your family. There are no constraints except your imagination and tastes.
